Job Description

A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology to work on a contract basis in Denver, CO. This role offers a 36-hour workweek with a unique schedule of four nine-hour shifts Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including a rotating day off. A rotating on-call schedule is required during weeknights and weekends, providing an engaging and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing inpatient and outpatient interventional radiology procedures.
  • Administer and monitor procedural sedation and IV insertions accurately and safely.
  • Manage patient care in accordance with established protocols, including phase 1 recovery procedures and post-anesthesia monitoring.
  • Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 to ensure personalized care.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and communication.
  • Participate in floating as needed among multiple regional locations with proper advance notice.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with a minimum of one year of experience in interventional radiology.
  • Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) are required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion and administering procedural sedation.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in rotating night and weekend call schedules.
  • Flexibility to float between various regional locations as needed.
