Bring your expertise as a Registered Nurse to an impactful role in Interventional Radiology within a dynamic outpatient radiology setting. We're seeking a skilled RN with strong experience in interventional radiology to support patients undergoing CT Coronary exams and special procedures. This is a contract opportunity with a structured weekday schedule.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in interventional radiology or a related specialty
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proficient with specialized procedures, including administering medications, regulating heart rates, and providing nitroglycerin as necessary
- Strong IV skills and experience in high-acuity procedural environments
- Professional, compassionate communicator able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care during outpatient radiology procedures, focusing on CT Coronary exams and special IR procedures
- Monitor and regulate patient heart rates, administer appropriate cardiac medications, and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
- Provide patient education before, during, and after radiology procedures
- Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and fellow nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
- Document procedures, interventions, and assessments accurately and promptly
- Maintain a calm, supportive environment for patients undergoing high-stress procedures
