Join an Interventional Radiology team providing critical care in a dynamic Level IV trauma and Level III NICU hospital setting. This travel opportunity offers a rewarding environment for experienced RN professionals specializing in IR who thrive in acute care and high-tech medical settings.
Location: Located in vibrant Brookfield, WI, with easy access to West Allis, this position is part of a 277-bed hospital renowned for its Primary Stroke Center designation and advanced trauma services. Role Overview:
- Deliver comprehensive IR nursing care including patient transport, sedation medication administration, pre- and post-operative recovery monitoring, and coordination of diagnostic and therapeutic orders.
- Support line placements, drains, guided biopsies, vascular procedures (carotid stents, angiograms), and aneurysm repairs.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team including IR techs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and leadership to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
- Provide 1:1 patient care in a unit equipped with two IR suites and advanced technology including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and continuous monitoring systems.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum one to two years of documented experience in Interventional Radiology procedures preferred.
- Experience with sedation protocols, patient transport, and critical care handoff.
- Ability to work flexible shift start times (7:00, 7:30, or 8:00 AM) and participate in a weekend rotation approximately every six weeks.
- On-call availability with a 30-minute response for one weeknight and one weekend shift per rotation cycle.

- Orientation includes a nurse executive orientation and at least one unit-specific shift to familiarize with workflow.
