Job Description

Step into a dynamic nursing environment that specializes in both Interventional Radiology (IR) and Cath Lab care. Play a key role in supporting critical procedures, offering hands-on patient care before, during, and after interventional and cardiac catheterization cases. This contract nursing opportunity is ideal for a skilled RN comfortable with high-tech medical equipment and fast-paced clinical settings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams during interventional and cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Preparing patients and operating rooms for procedures, maintaining strict adherence to safety and aseptic protocols.
  • Administering medications and conscious sedation as needed.
  • Monitoring patient vital signs, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and responding rapidly to urgent situations.
  • Providing detailed patient education and updates to patients' families.
  • Documenting all care activities and procedural details in electronic health records.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Active RN license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab required.
  • Proficient with EKG monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and administration of cardiac medications.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborative team settings.
