Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in oncology infusion within a leading academic medical center setting. This travel opportunity is designed for experienced Registered Nurses who are adept at managing complex gastrointestinal chemotherapy regimens and delivering exceptional outpatient infusion treatments.
Location: Boston, MA
Boston is a vibrant city known for its rich history, world-class educational institutions, and cutting-edge healthcare facilities. Living here offers access to excellent cultural attractions, diverse dining options, and beautiful outdoor spaces along the Charles River and Boston Harbor.
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- Day shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
Responsibilities:
- Administer complex oncology infusion treatments with precision and care
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor responses to therapy
- Manage intricate gastrointestinal chemotherapy regimens
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center environment
- At least 1 year of outpatient infusion experience
- 1+ years as a traveler nurse, demonstrating adaptability and professionalism
- Strong IV insertion and patient assessment skills
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification required
