As an ICU RN with a travel assignment in this facility, youll build your expertise by collaborating with experienced professionals, adapting to the unique workflows of a 7-bed licensed ICU, and working alongside leaders with diverse management approaches. Expand your capabilities by floating to Med-Surg or, on occasion, to the ER (with provided orientation), and develop skills as a resource for the clinical team, occasionally fulfilling House Supervisor duties.

Schedule/Hours

  • 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm 7:00 am)
  • 48 hours guaranteed weekly (overtime only after 48 hours)
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to a 2:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced 7-bed ICU
  • Support staff as a resource person, including occasional House Supervisor coverage
  • Perform crash cart and temperature checks, manage supplies and medications as needed
  • Adhere to all documentation standards in EPIC
  • Flexibly float to Med-Surg or ER if required

Qualifications

  • Current IL state RN license, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (must be provided upon submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU/Critical Care experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC charting
  • Strong adaptability, resilience, and effective communication skills
  • Navy blue scrubs required
