A hospital-based opportunity is available for skilled ICU Registered Nurses to provide expert care within a medical intensive care setting. This role requires a strong background in critical care nursing, supporting patients with complex diagnoses such as ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and stroke.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage critical ICU patients with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Perform advanced nursing skills, including arterial line management, vasoactive medication titration, ventilator management and weaning in collaboration with respiratory therapists.
• Manage chest tubes and support patient recovery through critical thinking and sound clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team including intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and CNAs.
• Support unit culture by mentoring and assisting newer nurses to build confidence and clinical skills.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
• Active RN licensure with required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Proficiency in managing critical care equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, GE monitors, and familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
• Experience with critical care patient types and ventilator management highly preferred.
• Ability to function effectively within a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work alongside physicians, charge nurses, and support staff.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts beginning at 06:45.
• Weekend rotation every other weekend.
• Travelers to work approximately 75% of holidays.
