As a Travel RN specializing in ICU-level care for critical care transport (air and land) in the DC area, youll be at the forefront of inter-hospital patient stabilization and advanced interventions for patients ranging from infants to adults. Your weekends here will be rich with challenge and reward, while your days off offer the chance to explore the citys iconic museums, waterfronts, and lively neighborhoods.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Shift: 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m.
  • Expectation to work at least every other weekend

Qualifications:

  • BSN required
  • Minimum 3 years critical care experience (ICU/ED) OR 2 years in a high-volume tertiary care unit OR 2 years recent critical care transport as team leader
  • ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS required; advanced nursing certifications (CEN, CCRN, CTRN, or CFRN) preferred
  • Unrestricted, clean DC RN license
  • Must reside at least 50 miles away
  • Completion of extensive critical care transport orientation and participation in ongoing simulation and skill labs

Responsibilities:

  • Autonomously assess, stabilize, and manage patients during inter-facility transport
  • Perform and assist with advanced procedures and interventions
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse health team
  • Participate in departmental training, research, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate leadership within the transport team and adaptability in fast-paced environments
