Step into a fast-paced, multidisciplinary ICU environment specializing in the care of a diverse patient population, including neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma cases. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled registered nurse who thrives in critical care and values collaborative, technologically advanced settings.
Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- AM/PM rotation
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license to practice in Washington, DC
- Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience
- NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program
- BSN highly preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Experience:
- Proficiency in the use of advanced technology for critical care, such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, central lines, ECMO, Impella, CRRT, and more
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients using a wide array of specialized equipment and monitoring technologies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans
- Manage and respond to changing patient conditions with precision and sound clinical judgment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
- Maintain regulatory, licensure, and safety standards at all times
