An opportunity is available for an experienced ICU/CCU RN to deliver specialized care to a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric in a critical care setting. This role involves coordinating and providing care for patients with serious respiratory and cardiac conditions, primarily surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a 4-bed ICU/CCU unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:2, adjusted based on acuity.
- Manage ventilated patients and collaborate with additional nursing staff as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
- Float to other departments including OB, Medical-Surgical, PACU, and Emergency Room according to competency and unit needs.
- Participate in hospital and unit orientation, including competency validation through completion of orientation binder.
- Maintain flexible availability to work any shifts, fulfilling 80 hours every two weeks without exceptions.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure with critical care experience (ICU/CCU).
- Prior exposure to emergency room settings is highly recommended.
- Skilled in managing complex respiratory and cardiac patient care.
- Ability to adapt and float across multiple units based on competency.
- Commitment to strict scheduling with no shift exceptions.

Contract Details: This is a contract position with a rigorous 80-hour biweekly schedule. Flexibility for all shifts is required. Holiday pay is provided for major holidays including New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
