Deliver critical care in a fast-paced ICU environment, providing high-level nursing support to patients in need. This contract role offers the opportunity to work night shifts with a structured schedule and engage with a dedicated healthcare team.
Location: Based in Vicksburg, MS, this position places you in a vibrant community known for its rich history and scenic views of the Mississippi River. Vicksburg offers a blend of small-town charm and access to modern amenities, making it an appealing place for both work and life.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients, monitoring vital signs and responding to medical emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and nursing actions
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures at all times
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU experience
- Certifications required: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Permanent residence at least 50 miles from the facility
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.) with rotating weekends
- Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills
Schedule/Hours:
- Nights: 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Rotating weekends included
Contract Details:
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Immediate start
