As a valued critical care nurse, you'll work alongside a dedicated, highly skilled team in a 19-bed ICU. Gain fresh insights into diverse care approaches and expand your resume by managing complex medical, cardiac, and neuro patient cases. Shift & Schedule
- Nights
- 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed)
- Block scheduling available upon request
- Weekend hours as needed
- No call requirements
Qualifications
- Current RN license with Missouri State Board of Nursing or a temporary Missouri RN work permit
- Required: ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Comfort with critical care, post-stroke care, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), bipaps, Airvos, recognizing patient deterioration, and managing ventilated compressors
- Willingness to float to Med Surg and Telemetry units
- Strong teamwork and self-starting attitude
- Preferred: Medical calculation test competency
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity, evidence-based care to medical, cardiac, and neuro ICU patients
- Evaluate, monitor, and respond to patient conditions in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records using EPIC
- Adhere to dress code guidelines (black scrubs; no hoodies)
