An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Intensive Care to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. This contract position is based in Texas City, TX, offering a rewarding role on a specialized 18-bed critical care unit located on the 3rd floor of a leading hospital.

This unit supports a team of approximately 35 staff members, featuring a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, and utilizes Meditech EMR technology. The working shifts accommodate day and night schedules, emphasizing teamwork, critical care competencies, and advanced patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer titratable medications and manage ventilators in a critical care setting
• Provide care aligned with critical care protocols including restraints management, use of Artic Sun, and appropriate application of critical care procedures
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Uphold unit policies including weekend and on-call responsibilities as required
• Maintain professional standards and adhere to hospital dress code requirements (Royal Blue scrubs)

Qualifications / Experience:

• Must possess current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated experience with critical care nursing, including med titration and vent management
• Familiarity with CRRT and Impella/IABP devices is highly desirable
• Ability to work efficiently in dynamic critical care environments and adhere to safety standards
