A travel Registered Nurse with ICU expertise is needed to provide exceptional patient care in a high-acuity setting. This opportunity is ideal for experienced ICU nurses seeking a dynamic role with flexible scheduling in Minnesota. The position involves working 12-hour shifts during days and nights, averaging 36 hours per week, with occasional floating to Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical (MS), and Telemetry units.
Location:
Situated in Shakopee, MN, this role is close to a vibrant community known for its blend of urban amenities and outdoor activities. The area boasts excellent connectivity to the Twin Cities, offering a balance of professional opportunity and quality of life. Nurses will find numerous local parks, recreational spaces, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (Day/Night)
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation as needed
- Holiday coverage as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Minnesota RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to float to PCU, MS, and Tele units as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient conditions and intervene promptly to address complications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies
- Support patient and family education and communication
