Expand your experience as a critical care nurse in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Work within a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU that handles a diverse adult patient population, including cases involving substance overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleeds, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. The support of attending physicians and residents, present around the clock, ensures a collaborative and robust care setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• Rotating Day/Eve/Night shifts as needed (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a for rotators)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to Medical/Surgical units required

Required Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU (preferably MICU) experience in one location
• Expertise in reading telemetry strips is mandatory
• Ability and willingness to float to Medical/Surgical units, caring for up to 4-5 patients as needed
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-level, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients
• Manage ICU and Med/Surg assignments, assessing, planning, and executing care plans
• Interpret telemetry strips and act promptly on changes in patient condition
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and residents
• Adapt quickly to the needs of a level III trauma center and acute care setting
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
