Schedule:
- 6:30 AM 7:00 PM shift
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Floating required as needed, except to Behavioral and ER (unless holding)
Qualifications:
- Active NY State RN license (verification via NURSYS)
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex equipment
- Heart/CTICU experience highly preferred
- EMR proficiency with EPIC
- Up-to-date resume and references from two recent ICU Charge/Manager RNs
- Drivers license with matching demographic address
- Willingness to float to multiple ICU units
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for critically ill patients across neuro, cardiac, surgical/trauma, and medical ICU settings
- Utilize and troubleshoot advanced specialty equipment: CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage), IABP, ICP monitoring, TTM (Artic Sun), Ventriculostomy
- Respond to a range of critical diagnoses: strokes, sepsis, cardiac and neuro interventions, trauma, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, major post-operative cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain clinical documentation via EPIC
