Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
- Valid NY RN license (NY license only)
- Extensive pediatric cardiac care experience required
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring
- Certifications required (American Heart Association only):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients, from infants to young adults
- Perform ongoing assessments and respond to acute clinical changes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized care
- Manage and interpret telemetry and advanced monitoring
- Provide education and support to patients and families
