Job Description

Provide critical care nursing in an acuity adaptable unit that supports diverse patient needs, blending ICU and step-down care. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply specialized skills in a dynamic hospital setting while working every other weekend and every other holiday schedule.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including ICU.
  • Skilled in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
  • Experience with balloon pump and Swan-Ganz catheters is highly desirable.
  • Competency in sheath pulls and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Adaptable to floating on-site within assigned skill range or to nearby locations within a 40-mile radius as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered, quality nursing care in an acuity adaptable unit.
  • Monitor and manage complex clinical interventions including CRRT and advanced cardiac support.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation using the EPIC system.
  • Flexibly support patient care needs across multiple units, ensuring seamless service.

Schedule:

  • Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH).
