Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for a registered nurse with ICU experience to provide critical care support on nights. This 13-week contract position offers a chance to work in a dynamic ICU environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Location: Port Gibson, MS
Port Gibson is a charming town known for its rich history and Southern hospitality. Nestled in the heart of Mississippi, it offers a welcoming atmosphere with easy access to local amenities, cultural sites, and scenic outdoor areas.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
  • Rotating weekends

Qualifications and Required Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU experience
  • Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
  • Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment
  • Candidates missing any of the above requirements will not be considered

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond effectively to physiological changes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient status and care provided
  • Adhere to all facility and regulatory protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care
