As an RN with ICU expertise, youll encounter a mixed cardiac and medical ICU environmentmanaging cases ranging from DKA and acute respiratory failure to MIs, CABG patients, and ventilated individuals. This pivotal opportunity will stretch your clinical skills and allow you to build your professional repertoire, gaining exposure to varied workplace practices and deepening your leadership abilities in a facility recognized for clinical excellence.

Work Schedule:

• 7PM 7AM shifts
• Full time hours
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call or floating; blocked scheduling not accommodated
• ICU nurse/patient ratio: 2:1; IMCU ratio in ICU: 4:1

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state eligibility
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of ICU or critical care experience preferred (new graduates considered)
• Commitment to complete orientation, preceptorship, and competency validations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation)
• Administer medication, monitor treatment plans, and document meticulously
• Address physical, emotional, psychological, and cultural needs of diverse patients and their families
• Educate patients and caregivers, and contribute to patient-centered care planning
• Delegate and coordinate within a multidisciplinary care team
