On assignment in this diverse, mixed cardiac and medical ICU, youll encounter a broad range of patient scenariosDKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and management of ventilators. This unique exposure will broaden your clinical expertise, deepen your critical thinking skills, and strengthen your adaptability through collaboration with a variety of healthcare leaders and interdisciplinary teams. Schedule:
- 7PM 7AM
- Full-time; blocked scheduling not available
- Every other weekend required
- No call, no floating
Qualifications:
- RN license in state of employment or compact
- BLS and ACLS certification from AHA (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- At least 1 year of ICU/critical care experience preferrednew graduates considered
- Commitment to completing New Nurse Orientation and competency validations
- Strong communication, assessment, and delegation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive ICU care using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Handle complex needs of cardiac and medical ICU patients with a primary 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Administer medications and monitor for efficacy and side effects
- Document patient care activities and responses
- Educate and support patients and their families
