A skilled Registered Nurse with ICU and stepdown experience is needed for a contract position in Pittsford, NY. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care within a progressive clinical environment dedicated to service excellence and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide competent nursing care following established standards under Nurse Manager oversight.
• Assume advanced responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee participation.
• Manage high-acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized neurological care.
• Perform Q1 neuro checks and care for patients with EVDs, lumbar and subdural drains, arterial lines, and cardene drips.
• Support surgical patients including those post carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, deep brain stimulator insertions, VP shunts, and seizure management.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active New York RN License.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• Proven stepdown (PCU) and telemetry experience required.
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery patient care experience mandatory.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred.
