This contract opportunity is designed for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in ICU care who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. The role focuses on providing high-quality nursing care in a Medical ICU setting consisting of 20 beds with a mixed ICU/Step Down patient population. This position requires flexibility and adaptability, including floating to a sister unit with varying patient ratios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and step-down patients.
• Manage a patient load with ICU ratios of 2:1 and step-down ratios of 3:1.
• Float to the sister unit to care for progressive level patients at 4:1 or step-down patients at 3:1.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as part of the unit's staffing plan.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient status continually and intervene as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with ICU experience required.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing clinical environment.
• Comfort with floating between units and managing various patient acuity levels.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
