Exciting opportunity available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in ICU care. This contract role offers the chance to work within a 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit, handling a diverse range of critical care and stepdown cases in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a medical ICU, maintaining a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio for ICU-level patients.
• Provide focused nursing care for stepdown patients with 3:1 assignments.
• Float as needed to our associated 5S unit to care for stepdown (1:3 ratio) or progressive care (4:1 ratio) patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients with acute or chronic health conditions.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital and unit protocols, supporting continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license with experience in ICU nursing.
• Previous background in stepdown, progressive, or critical care settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments and adapt to floating between units.
• Commitment to professional standards and compassionate patient-centered care.
