By joining this unit, youll expand your clinical resume with exposure to diverse patient populations, cutting-edge GE monitors and Drger ventilators, and daily responsibilities that strengthen your advanced skillsfrom ventilator and sedation management to medication titration and assisting with high-acuity procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion.
Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend required
- Flexible rotation with full-time staff and fellow travelers
Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proven ICU experience with strong ventilator and sedation management skills
- Proficiency in medication titration and acute patient care
- Positive attitude and effective problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented mindset and adaptability
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients
- Monitor and titrate medications and mechanical ventilation
- Collaborate with unit techs and secretaries to ensure smooth workflow
- Employ excellent communication, documentation, and teaching skills using AIDET principles and Meditech
- Float in rotation as needed while maintaining patient-focused care standards
