This travel nursing assignment lets you experience the diversity and leadership styles found in different hospital environments while adding valuable ICU experience to your rsum.

Enjoy the flexibility and variety of working in a 7-bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, where your expertise will be highly valued. Youll expand your clinical skill set by occasionally floating to medical-surgical or emergency departments, with robust support from leadership and tailored orientation when needed. Expect meaningful duties, strong peer collaboration, and the chance to broaden your abilities as a resource for staff.

Schedule/Hours

• 13-week assignment, 36 hours/week guaranteed (excluding unit closure holidays)
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m.)
• Every other weekend and holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional critical care to ICU patients, maintaining a focus on safety and patient outcomes.
• Float to other units such as Med-Surg or Emergency if necessary, with orientation provided as needed.
• Serve as a supportive resource for nursing staff, including brief stints as house supervisor.
• Adhere to best practices, assist with crash cart and temperature checks, and maintain readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Valid AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (must be submitted at application).
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU/critical care experience; EPIC charting required.
• Adaptable, resilient, team-oriented, and strong communication skills.
• Comfortable in navy-blue scrubs.
