Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • At least one year of recent experience in an intensive care unit (ICU) setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation standards
  • Capacity to manage a fast-paced, high-acuity patient load

Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and ongoing monitoring of vital signs, clinical status, and response to treatments
  • Administer medications, therapies, and interventions as ordered, ensuring patient safety at every step
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans
  • Provide patient and family education related to critical care management, procedures, and recovery
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all care delivered
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, demonstrating excellent judgment and rapid decision-making skills
  • Adhere to professional, facility, and state standards, including infection control and patient privacy policies
