Step into an essential nursing position specializing in Intensive Care, where you will provide critical support and care for patients facing complex health challenges. In this contract role, youll work closely with multidisciplinary medical teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract assignment
- Shift structure and length will align with facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients with acute or life-threatening conditions
- Administer medications and complex therapies according to protocols and physician orders
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment, including ventilators and infusion pumps
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and rapidly changing patient statuses
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the broader care team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient information, assessments, and interventions precisely and promptly
- Provide guidance and support to patients families during critical situations
- Uphold established infection control and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an ICU or critical care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing clinical situations
