Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a demanding ICU setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for an RN who excels in acute care environments, particularly those with a background in cardiac care and procedural patient management.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position; schedule specifics will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with current New York State registration.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in an ICU or cardiac care environment within the past 2 years.
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience in an acute care facility of comparable size and scope.
• Familiarity with moderate sedation medication administration and patient monitoring.
• Experienced in preparation and recovery of procedural patients, including airway monitoring.
• Certified in BLS, with eligibility for recertification.
• Preferred qualification: Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
• No prior suspensions, investigations, or liability claims regarding licensure/certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Verification of legal right to work in the U.S. is required.
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check.
• Candidates with travel nurse experience must have worked in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for ICU-level patients with minimal supervision.
• Administer and monitor sedation medications.
• Prepare, care for, and monitor patients undergoing procedures, ensuring airway safety.
• Complete thorough documentation using EMR (EPIC preferred).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Certifications/Experience Required Where Applicable:

• ACLS, NNLS, EFM, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
• Telemetry, triage, ambulatory/primary care, medical coding/insurance review, as needed per specialty.
