Taking on this role will allow you to work within high-acuity environments, including Medical, Trauma, and Neuro ICUs. You'll encounter a wide range of patient cases, expanding your clinical expertise and strengthening your adaptability. Exposure to varying workplace practices and diverse medical teams will sharpen your skills and prepare you for leadership opportunities in the rapidly evolving world of critical care nursing.
Schedule:
- Night shifts; 3 x 12-hour or 4 x 12-hour options
- Shifts run 19:00 - 07:30
- Rotating shifts (no blocked scheduling)
- Rare on-call requirements
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum trauma and neuro ICU experience strongly preferred
- Current certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Flexibility to work various night shift rotations
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes in Medical, Trauma, and Neuro ICUs
- Assess, monitor, and quickly respond to changes in patient status
- Document patient information thoroughly and accurately
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
