Working in a Float Pool setting offers exceptional exposure to a variety of clinical specialties, patient populations, and innovative workplace practices. Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment
  • Education and non-productive hours for Float Pool nurses; unit assignments vary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care to individual patients or groups following established care standards and the nursing process.
  • Supervise and direct other nursing staff, delegating appropriately and ensuring seamless care.
  • Collect and analyze patient data to inform diagnoses and care interventions.
  • Develop individualized care plans and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to foster a safe and caring environment.
  • Educate patients, families, and colleagues, providing clear health information and supporting learning opportunities.
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with ICU experience
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and independent judgment in high-acuity settings
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and patient advocacy skills
