Exciting contract opportunity for a skilled RN with ICU experience to provide high-quality patient care within a Float Pool department. This role focuses on supporting various hospital units as needed, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate care in alignment with best nursing practices and hospital protocols.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position with flexible float-based assignments
Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent ICU nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of critical care protocols and patient safety procedures
- Outstanding critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Able to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Commitment to professional standards, patient advocacy, and confidentiality
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience with patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver coordinated, evidence-based care for assigned ICU patients and float to other units as needed
- Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff while maintaining optimal workflow and patient outcomes
- Collect and analyze patient health data to inform diagnoses and treatment planning
- Collaborate with medical teams, patients, and families to establish care goals and ensure clear communication
- Provide direct health information and education to patients and families
- Engage in continuous learning and training, both for self and others
- Actively participate in discharge planning, ensuring seamless care transitions
- Adhere to organizational safety protocols, vaccination requirements, and uphold a culture of safety
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned
