Job Description

Take on a vital role providing compassionate and expert care to patients in a dynamic float pool environment. As an experienced ICU Registered Nurse, you will deliver coordinated patient care according to the highest nursing standards and established protocols. Youll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse patient population, using critical thinking and sound clinical judgment while supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Your ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and provide education to patients and families will contribute greatly to optimal outcomes and patient wellbeing.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position (duration as determined by assignment)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient conditions, collecting relevant health data
  • Analyze assessment findings to determine diagnoses, issues, and care needs
  • Develop individualized patient care plans that prescribe interventions and measurable outcomes
  • Implement and coordinate care delivery, ensuring safety and promoting a healing environment
  • Evaluate patient progress, modifying plans as necessary to achieve outcomes
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide safe, compassionate care
  • Participate in discharge planning for a seamless care transition
  • Provide education to patients, their families, and fellow team members
  • Appropriately delegate and coordinate duties of healthcare team members
  • Comply with required annual vaccinations (medical and religious exemptions may apply)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license with experience in ICU nursing
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize nursing process and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in float pool or similar flexible nursing roles preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
