A clinical nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care in Los Alamos, NM. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement comprehensive patient care tailored to ICU patient needs during night shifts (7 PM 7 AM).
  • Ensure quality, safe, and efficient nursing practices aligned with unit and organizational standards.
  • Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintain compliance with protocols and procedures including infection control and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards patients, staff, and physicians.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • Current New Mexico RN license or a current Compact state license.
  • TNCC, BLS, and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficient in using EMR systems, preferably EMR-EPIC.
  • Knowledgeable in providing care appropriate to the ICU patient population.
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including patient transfers and movement.

Additional Details:

  • Float coverage may be required.
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases following safety guidelines.
  • Work environment is clean, well-lit, and ventilated with a no-smoking policy.
