Job Description

This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse who excels in an ICU setting and is dedicated to maintaining the well-being of patients throughout their care journey.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with at least 2 years of experience in Cardiac or ICU-level care
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility comparable in size and acuity
  • Skilled in moderate sedation medication administration and patient monitoring
  • Proficient in the preparation and recovery of procedural patients, including airway monitoring
  • Active New York State Registration
  • Current BLS certification (or eligible for immediate recertification)
  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills required
  • Travel experience in large hospitals or trauma centers is an asset
  • No history of professional license suspension/investigation, or involvement in professional liability claims
  • Eligible to work in the United States; must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced ICU setting with minimal supervision
  • Perform thorough nursing assessments and create individualized care plans
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor and manage moderate sedation, patient airways, and recovery processes
  • Utilize certifications and experience relevant to specialty nursing, including ACLS, PALS, TNCC, telemetry, triage, medical coding, and ambulatory care, as required
