Job Description
A critical care nursing role is available to coordinate and provide specialized care for ICU/CCU patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. This position serves patients with serious respiratory and cardiac conditions as well as surgical needs in a 4-bed ICU/CCU setting. Care is delivered with an emphasis on patient acuity, maintaining a typical ratio of one nurse to two patients, with additional support provided when ventilated patients require focused attention.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a critical care environment for ICU/CCU patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet individualized patient needs.
- Manage patient acuity with a focus on safety and quality care, including ventilated patients.
- Participate in hospital orientation, unit-specific training, and competency validations.
- Provide flexible support and float to related departments such as OB, MS, PACU, and ER as skilled and required.
- Maintain readiness to work any assigned shift within an 80-hour biweekly schedule, with no exceptions.
Qualifications / Desired Experience
- Valid RN licensure with ICU/CCU experience.
- Emergency room experience is strongly recommended.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including day, night, and weekends as scheduled.
- Comfortable with rapid patient acuity changes and ventilator care management.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Details
- This is a contract position with a strict requirement to complete 80 hours every two weeks.
- Holiday pay applies based on hours worked on specific holidays including New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Orientation includes HR and hospital in-service sessions, followed by unit-based orientation with the nurse manager supporting shift transitions.
- Candidates must confirm arrival dates and pending compliance items via the designated portal before onboarding.
