A critical care nursing opportunity awaits in a specialized ICU/CCU setting serving a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This contract position based in Kalaheo, HI, requires a registered nurse dedicated to providing high-quality care for patients facing serious respiratory and cardiac conditions, as well as surgical recovery. The unit features a 4-bed configuration with a typical patient ratio of 1:2, adjusting for acuity and ventilator support needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering care tailored to each patients age and condition within the ICU/CCU. Flexibility is essential, as this role demands the willingness to work any shift without exceptions, completing 80 hours every two weeks. Cross-unit support is part of the assignment, involving float coverage to Obstetrics, Medical-Surgical, PACU, and Emergency Room areas based on competency. Orientation includes hospital HR onboarding and unit orientation with experienced nursing leadership, emphasizing competency development.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN licensure with experience in ICU or critical care settings
• Familiarity with cardiac and respiratory intensive care procedures
• Able to work any shift, including nights and weekends
• Emergency Room experience is recommended
• Ability to adapt to multiple units and competency-based float assignments
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
