Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent ICU nursing experience
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (current)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including continuous assessment and intervention
- Monitor patient status and vital signs, interpreting clinical data to anticipate and address complications
- Administer medications, therapies, and advanced interventions per physician orders and care protocols
- Communicate patient progress and plan of care with families, physicians, and allied health staff
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in electronic medical records
- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures, as well as unit policies and procedures
- Support and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and ongoing care
