Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call shifts
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care in a 12-bed CVICU on the second floor
- Manage patients with advanced equipment, including Impella, IABP, PrisMax, ECMO, and more
- Monitor intubated patients, manage titrating vasoactive medications, and follow critical care protocols
- Support recovery from open-heart surgery and perform/assist with intubation, extubation, bronchoscopy, and bedside line insertion
- Collaborate across disciplines, especially when floating to MICU and CVIMU as needed
- Uphold unit policies, participate as a team player, and maintain documentation in Meditech EMR
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- BLS & ACLS certifications
- ICU experience with care of intubated patients and those on titrating vasoactive medication
- Strong teamwork skills
- Royal blue scrubs required
Preferred Experience:
- Cardiac/vascular ICU background
- Experience caring for device patients (ECMO, Impella, IABP)
