Job Description

Deliver critical care in a fast-paced ICU environment located in vibrant Honolulu, HI. This contract position calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with Active Hawaii RN licensure ready to provide expert nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit while flexibly supporting Patient Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical areas as census demands. Candidates must demonstrate readiness to work consecutive weekends when required, ensuring consistent, high-quality patient support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
  • Monitor patient status, administer medications, and manage life-support equipment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to implement patient care plans.
  • Float effectively between ICU, PCU, and Medical-Surgical units depending on census and operational needs.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Hawaii.
  • Strong critical care nursing experience with an ability to adapt across multiple units.
  • Proven ability to work weekends consecutively if needed.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to quickly adjust to variable patient care demands and flow.

Scheduling:

Additional Details: Holiday billing is applicable only if the shift begins on the holiday; shifts starting before the holiday do not qualify. This role operates independently of state compliance processes mandated by other organizations, allowing seamless onboarding without prior contract requirements.
