This travel nursing role places you in a highly specialized Cardiovascular ICU, offering exposure to the latest treatments and technologies. You'll collaborate with diverse teams across multiple ICUs, enhancing your clinical knowledge and adaptability. Each assignment is an opportunity to refine your skills in advanced cardiac support and gain hands-on experience with groundbreaking devices and interventions.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts included
• No on-call commitments

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois RN license
• Minimum of 3 years recent CV ICU experience
• Passing EKG test (80% or higher)
• Valid CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in Epic documentation
• Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, and ECMO highly preferred
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, multi-system organ failure, and cardiac surgical care
• Charge nurse experience preferred (please note on submission)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert care to post-cardiac surgery, Cath/intervention, and critical CV patients
• Perform advanced cardiac monitoring and support, including pulmonary artery line and thermoregulation
• Manage invasive lines and provide IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Float to MICU or other ICU campuses as needed
