Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• No on-call
• Biweekly pay schedule

Qualifications:

• Active IL RN license
• Minimum 3 years of cardiovascular ICU experience
• Passing EKG test (80% or higher)
• BLS (CPR), ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Current Epic experience
• Experience with: dysrhythmia interpretation/management, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation, CABG, IABP, Impella, post-cardiac surgery, pre/post cath/intervention, Swan Ganz monitoring, valve procedures, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapy (access, arterial lines, blood transfusions, central/PICC line management)
• Preferred: Impella/ECMO experience, charge RN background
• Strong references, updated resume and recent skills checklist required

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert CVICU nursing for complex post-op, cardiac, and vascular patients
• Interpret and manage advanced cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic devices
• Float as needed to affiliated ICUs
• Maintain meticulous care with critical care devices and medication administration
• Mentor peers and participate in continuous quality initiatives
