Job Description

Advance your nursing career in a dynamic Medical ICU setting, delivering care to critically ill patients in a collaborative team environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a 20-bed mixed Medical ICU/Step Down unit, where registered nurses provide dedicated attention in both ICU (2:1 ratio) and Step Down (3:1 ratio) settings. Flexibility is essential, as you may also float to a sister unit to manage Step Down or progressive level patients (ratios 1:3 or 4:1).

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time contract role
  • Flexible scheduling options may be available

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in ICU or critical care
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Experience with mixed acuity patient populations preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and float as required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to ICU and Step Down patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
  • Safely administer medications and manage critical interventions
  • Support patients and families with compassionate, evidence-based care
  • Float to designated units and provide high-quality care based on established ratios
