Shift & Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as scheduled
- No on-call responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care for postoperative CVICU patients including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and complex cardiac interventions
- Interpret/manage dysrhythmias, support multi-system organ failure, monitor intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, LVAD/RVAD, and pulmonary artery lines
- Manage high-acuity equipment: CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO, Swan-Ganz, arterial and central lines, and blood products
- Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team and potentially float to companion ICUs as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years current CVICU nursing experience
- Active IL RN license, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPR certification
- Proficiency with Epic required
- Strong interpretation of complex EKGs (submit a passing EKG test result, 80%+)
- Preferred: Charge experience; Impella and LVAD management; ECMO exposure
- Ability to float within the ICU network
- Must submit: Updated resume, CVICU skills checklist (recent), supervisor reference, and verified IL licensure
