Within this cardiovascular-focused ICU unit, youll collaborate with a variety of skilled practitioners and seasoned leaders, elevating your critical care expertise and expanding your knowledge of advanced devices and techniques. Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday shifts required
  • No on-call duties
  • Start within the next two weeks

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois RN license
  • Minimum 3 years of recent CVICU experience
  • Required certifications: BLS/CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Proficient in Epic documentation
  • Experience in CV ICU care, including management of dysrhythmias, CABG, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, post-cardiac surgery, valve interventions, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, and IV therapy
  • Preferred experience: managing Impella, ECMO, LVAD patients
  • Passing EKG test score80% or higher
  • Charge experience preferred
  • May float to sister ICU units as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver critical care to CVICU patients with multi-system needs
  • Interpret and respond to complex cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic changes
  • Utilize and manage advanced cardiac support devices
  • Document care thoroughly in Epic
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team collaboration for optimal patient outcomes
