Deliver critical care as an experienced ICU nurse specializing in cardiac intensive care with a dedicated night shift schedule. This contract position offers a focused opportunity to make an impact in a demanding, fast-paced acute care hospital environment renowned for advanced patient care.
Location: Columbia, SC

Position Highlights:
- Specialty: Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:2 for attentive patient care
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (total of 12 shifts during the contract)
- On-call: Possible low-census on-call; no mandatory extra call shifts
- Floating: Ability to float between like units/sister facilities as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience, first-time travelers welcome
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
- Preferred: Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) using Prismax
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill cardiac patients
- Maintain accurate documentation utilizing Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to assist in related units as patient volume demands
Additional Information:

- Block scheduling possible with managerial approval and unit needs
- Note: Awareness of hurricane season staffing protocols (June-November) may be required
