Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday shifts may be needed
- No on-call duties
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois RN license, current in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiovascular ICU experience (CVICU)
- Successful completion of an EKG test with a minimum score of 80%
- Current certifications: CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Demonstrated skill with CVICU duties, including interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, thermoregulation, post-cardiac surgery care, LVAD/RVAD management, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and more
- Proficiency with Epic EHR
- Experience with advanced cardiac assist devices (Impella, ECMO, LVAD) preferred
- Charge experience is advantageousplease highlight if applicable
Core Responsibilities:
- Care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries and interventions
- Manage device-assisted circulatory support, critical infusions, and arterial lines
- Float to MICU/ICU units at nearby campuses if needed, gaining broader experience
- Collaborate with surgeons and specialists in a high-acuity environment
- Maintain precise documentation and support quality patient outcomes
