A critical care nursing opportunity is available for experienced RNs with a strong background in acute ICU care. This contract position is based in Cicero, IL, offering a night shift schedule designed for those accustomed to providing high-quality care in demanding environments.
Location Overview:

Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Weekend obligation every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
- RTO permitted up to 5 days per month, with no more than 2 consecutive, excluding holidays and weekends
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in acute ICU settings, specifically trauma care preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) mandatory
- Must reside within 75 miles of the facility (local candidates preferred)
- Ability and willingness to float within the facility as required (mandatory floating policy)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive trauma ICU nursing care adhering to best practices and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement patient-centered care
- Utilize electronic charting (Cerner) for accurate documentation
- Uphold patient safety standards in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
