Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Illinois
  • Minimum of 1 year recent ICU nursing experience
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of critical care protocols, best practices, and medical equipment
  • Strong communication abilities to coordinate care within diverse, multidisciplinary teams
  • Skilled at rapid assessment, prioritization, and evidence-based decision-making
  • Compassionate and able to provide family support in high-stress situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and vital signs
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other ICU staff
  • Manage life-support equipment and perform emergency interventions as needed
  • Participate in developing individual care plans and patient/family education
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations
