Schedule & Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 per week (No OT until after 48 hours)
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7 p.m. 7 a.m.
- Start Date: 5/4 (bi-weekly orientation)
- Department: ICU/Nursing Admin
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend/holiday
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care in a 7-bed ICU with a 2:1 patient ratio
- Float to Med-Surg or, rarely, Emergency Department (with orientation provided if needed)
- Serve as a resource for staff; potential to cover as House Supervisor (orientation provided if needed)
- Maintain accurate records using EPIC charting system
- Uphold highest standards in critical care practices and adapt fluidly to daily changes
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/Critical Care nursing experience
- Illinois RN license, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certification (attach upon application)
- Proficiency in EPIC charting
- Strong adaptability, resilience, and social skills
- Navy blue scrubs required
