Experienced Registered Nurses are needed to provide exceptional care in a 20-bed Medical ICU/Step Down unit. This dynamic unit offers a mix of patient acuity with both ICU (2:1 ratio) and Step Down (3:1 ratio) responsibilities. Nurses in this role will also float to a sister unit to care for SD or progressive level patients, with patient ratios adjusted to meet care needs.

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• Previous ICU nursing experience required
• Competency in managing both ICU (2:1) and Step Down (3:14:1) patient assignments
• Flexibility to float to sister units as needed
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Professional communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, evidence-based care to a diverse population of critically ill and step-down patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and response to treatments
• Utilize advanced clinical skills in high-acuity situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized plans of care
• Float to the 5S sister unit to manage step-down or progressive level patients as assigned
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and emergencies in accordance with hospital protocols
